Queer community is the heartbeat of who we are. It’s how we move and it’s the reason OutWellness exists. And the wellness that comes from our community is a collective act of love made from movement and stillness, sweat and softness, therapy sessions, and post-class laughter. It’s rooted in one belief: every LGBTQ+ person deserves to feel at home in their body and comfortable in the spaces that help care for it.
tl;dr: OutWellness is all about building LGBTQ+ community through movement, care, and connection. Think group fitness that actually feels good, support groups that hold real space, events that range from dance parties to quiet potlucks, and care that doesn’t make you explain yourself. It’s a place where you can show up exactly as you are—and be supported in every way. |
So what does that look like in real life? Let’s take you inside and show you around OutWellness.
You Belong Here: Group Fitness, Reclaimed
There’s something sacred about moving your body in a room full of people who see you. I don’t mean to tolerate you. But, actually, see you. That’s the energy in every group fitness class at OutWellness. From gentle yoga flows to strength circuits, from dance cardio to functional fitness, our classes are designed for every body, every level, and every expression.
You don’t have to look a certain way. You don’t have to “know what you’re doing.” You just have to show up. We’ll meet you there. Our instructors do more than lead workouts. They build trust and create spaces where you can move without flinching, where your pronouns are honored, where mirrors reflect joy, not judgment or condemnation.
We’ve seen friendships begin mid-squat. Shy newcomers become regulars. We’ve seen bodies celebrated, not compared. And that is the power of the queer-centered movement. It’s a community in motion.
Healing Happens Together: Spaces That Hold You
We don’t run traditional “support groups.” What we offer are community spaces—free sex-ed workshops, gender-affirming wellness sessions, mental health check-ins, and virtual peer circles—that center queer and trans experiences in ways that feel honest, grounded, and necessary.
These spaces aren’t about fixing anyone. They’re about holding room: for grief and growth, gender exploration and joy, neurodivergence and nuance, confusion and clarity. They’re places where showing up exactly as you are is enough.
From sensory wellness meetups to mental health support through our partnership with Prism Integrated Health, these offerings create connections outside the physical wellness space—and into the emotional, educational, and deeply personal.
Led by people who live it (not just talk about it), our workshops and community gatherings give voice to the everyday truths of being queer, trans, and human in a world that’s still catching up.
Show up however you are.
Our events are designed for all bodies, all energy levels, all kinds of queer experiences.
Beyond the Gym: Events That Nourish Connection
We love a dance party. We love a sparkly drag brunch. But we also love a good ol’ queer hiking club. Or a workshop on boundary setting. Or a Sunday morning community potluck where someone always brings too much hummus.
Community doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. At OutWellness, we host events that center on connection, not just celebration. That means social hours, queer business owner meetups, movement classes designed for trans folks pre- and post-surgery, sewing circles, pet picture days.
These events are where friendships form. Where someone hears “me too” for the first time. Where care happens without hierarchy.
Because the work of wellness isn’t confined to a studio or an office. It lives in these in-between moments. And we’re here for all of them.
Gender-Affirming Care, Grounded in Trust
If you’ve ever had to explain your identity before getting care, you know how exhausting that can be. We’re here to break that cycle.
Our physical therapy and movement support for folks undergoing gender-affirming care is designed with your body, your goals, and your healing in mind. You won’t be subject to awkward questions or assumptions. Just care, tailored for you and with you.
Whether you’re preparing for or recovering from gender-affirming surgery or simply learning how to move in your body more easily and confidently, our team shows up with knowledge, compassion, and deep respect.
And that matters. Because when trans and nonbinary people receive affirming care, we don’t just heal faster, we heal more fully.
Mental Health Isn’t an Afterthought—It’s Centered
We collaborate with therapists who specialize in LGBTQ+ care because affirming mental health support is essential. Whether it’s working through trauma, processing family dynamics, managing anxiety, or just having a space where your identity doesn’t need an introduction, our mental health partners are here for the hard stuff and the healing.
Therapy isn’t accessible for everyone, so that’s why we offer sliding-scale options, community referrals, and group support whenever possible. We firmly believe that care should never be gatekept by income.
And even outside of formal therapy, we encourage practices that care for the mind. Breathing. Laughing. Moving slowly. Sitting in stillness. Building friendships. Saying no.
It all adds up to create a stronger, healthier you.
This Is What Care Looks Like
Outside of what someone might think traditional “care” looks like, care can mean making eye contact, remembering someone’s name and pronouns, and intentionally creating spaces where fat, disabled, trans, neurodivergent, and BIPOC queer folks feel genuinely welcomed and prioritized.
It doesn’t always have to be big or loud. It can be signing up for a class, sitting in a support circle, bringing homemade cookies to a community night, checking on a friend, or taking a breath. The little things are actually big things, especially when it comes to showing others—and yourself—care.

Care Is a Collective Practice
Be part of the community we’re building together. It’s tender, intentional, and grounded in the belief that LGBTQ+ people deserve more than survival because we deserve to thrive. So, however you show up—whether it’s to sweat, cry, laugh, or just be—know that you’re not alone here. You’re part of something powerful, and we’re really, really glad you’re here.
Let’s make it work.
Care should be accessible. That’s why we offer flexible rates and open conversations—no pressure.
