What To Expect
Here is how we do things at Outfitness
STEP 1
Book a FREE consultation call
CLICK HERE to schedule your call. We will ask you a few questions so our team can reach out to you as soon as possible.
During the call, we’ll ask you a series of questions to understand what’s going on and figure out if we’re the best fit to help you.
STEP 2
Schedule your evaluation
We offer two types:
PHYSICAL THERAPY EVALUATIONS We perform a 75 minute comprehensive evaluation of the whole body to find the root cause of pain. This thorough analysis of the entire body help us diagnose the underlying patterns that can lead to pain.
WELLNESS EVALUATION We perform a 60 minute lifestyle and nutritional evaluation for folks that wanna live a healthier lifestyle but they need some guidance, or for that athlete that has a goal in mind, we would love to help you getting there!
STEP 3
Get back to do things you love
All our treatment and wellness appointments are 60 minutes and always one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy or a Licensed Personal trainer.
Most people initially work with us for around 15 visits over a 3-6 month period. Many people choose to continue working with us for biweekly or monthly check-ins to stay on track and chase down their goals.
FAQs
We don’t accept insurance at OutWellness, and we are considered an out-of-network provider. We can provide you with a Superbill to try to get reimbursed with your out-of-network plan.
- After your 15-minute free phone call, the first session will be 75 minutes long to ensure that we have time to assess your body and movement mechanics as a whole to get to the root of your injury. Each session after this will be 60 minutes, and will be tailored to meet each client’s needs. Sessions will include a combination of hands-on techniques, and specific exercise.
- If you’ve had PT at other clinics, you might’ve had experiences where your PT was seeing 1 or 2 other people at the same time as you, and a lot of your exercises were given by someone other than the PT. At OutWellness, each 60-minute session will be one-on-one with Dr. Syd.
Sure can!
- At OutWellness, we pride ourselves on being some of the best at what we do. Our entire staff is highly trained, with a passion for continuing education, to continue to provide the highest level of care possible.
- You’ll also always be one-on-one with your provider, and you’ll get individualized plans to meet your specific needs, and these will be updated weekly to ensure consistent progress. Our goal is to give you the tools that you need for success for a long time!
Cash-based PT is a great route to take instead of the traditional insurance-based model. In this model, the client and the provider enter into a contract, and the client will pay for the service at the time of service. This means that there will be no surprise bills! Also, most insurance companies will decide what to cover based on a person’s injury, and we know that everybody and every body is different, and we treat each client as an individual person.
We know that you have a lot of choices when it comes to your health and wellness, and we understand that using insurance can be appealing. Our model of providing a free, 15-minute phone call, a 75-minute initial session, and 60-minute one-on-one followup sessions, is a model that you won’t find with any insurance-based model. Also, Dr. Syd and the team will come up with an individualized plan that works for YOU, and they will update the plans weekly to ensure you reach your goals!
Since Dr. Syd is residency- and fellowship-trained, they have 2 weeks to treat you without a referral. Often we can start treatment without a referral, but since most times clients require more than 2 weeks of treatment, a referral is necessary for continued treatment. Please get in touch with the OutWellness team to help initiate this process, if you need help!

I've had bad experiences with medical professionals before, but everything I've experienced at OutFitness has been the total opposite. I get hands-on help, practical advice, and honest feedback (including about how often I should be coming in for appointments), instead of being talked down to or upsold for as many appointments as possible. And of course, it's incredibly refreshing to work with someone who isn't just LGBTQ+ friendly but is actively inclusive (which makes sense, as a member of the community!) and informed about how specific things like top surgery will affect a PT rehab program and ramping up exercise again. Highly recommended!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Gunnar Teltow2023-09-21We've been working with Sydney for about a year now (buddy sessions) and wow has it made a difference. She always has great workouts planned and manages to coax amazing efforts out of us no matter how tired we think we were before the workout. Her physical therapy training and knowledge are the icing on the cake.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Joan Grace Miller2023-09-17OutFitness is an incredible, inclusive space to work out. I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional care and expertise they provided. She is truly a skilled professional who goes above and beyond to ensure her patients' well-being. From the moment I walked into OutFitness, I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Syd has a warm and compassionate demeanor that immediately puts you at ease. She takes the time to listen attentively to your concerns and questions, making you feel valued as a patient. The exercises are effective treatment as well. I've had relief from plantar fasciitis within 2-3 weeks of consistency. She also hosts very fun exercise classes. My fiance and I both love going to OutFitness for a workout/PT session.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Connie Bee2023-09-15I've never lifted so much weight in my life <3Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Hector T2023-09-10Dr. Syd is awesome!
