QUEER AFFIRMING SPACE
A Gym That Feels Different
A lot of people find OutWellness because bigger gyms haven’t felt right. Maybe the environment felt unwelcoming, the energy felt competitive, or it just wasn’t a space where you could focus on movement without other things getting in the way.
OutWellness is intentionally small. The gym is locked at all times, accessible only to members with a code. Members can come and go freely during open hours with no advance reservation needed. First-time drop-ins will reserve a time online and receive an entry code by email before their visit.
The gym is open every day from 6:30 AM to 8 PM. Please note that open gym hours do not apply during scheduled group classes or workshops.
What's Included
An open gym membership includes full access to the OutWellness gym during open hours and all group classes at no additional cost. Every class on the schedule is included, from Queer and Trans Yoga to Community Workouts.
Members also receive early access to sign up for the Trans Masc and Trans Femme Workouts, which are no-cost for everyone but tend to fill up fast.
Equipment includes: two squat racks with pull-up bars and benches, barbells in 15, 35, and 45 lb options, plates from 1.25 to 55 lbs, dumbbells from 5 to 100 lbs, kettlebells from 9 to 72 lbs, two cable machines, resistance bands, a treadmill, a rowing machine, and an assault bike.
More Than a Gym
OutWellness was built around community, and the membership reflects that. OutWellness aims to create a unique wellness experience by fostering a supportive community where members can thrive together.
Group classes are included not as an add-on but as a core part of what this space is.
Like many community-focused gyms in Austin, which emphasize holistic approaches to fitness and offer a range of group classes – OutWellness ensures members have access to diverse options for mind and body wellness. Members have described finding not just a place to work out, but people they look forward to seeing.
The space is queer and trans-centered, and everyone who comes through helps maintain an atmosphere where all members feel safe, respected, and genuinely welcome.
What Clients Say
"OutWellness is such a safe and inclusive space. I started going when the gym was still young and I'm so honored to be a part of the growth of a community. The Sunday workouts provided me with a community of like-minded people who have become friends and people I look forward to seeing. Syd and Sienna are both great trainers who are mindful of everyone's level and know how to push you to do your best."
